Established in July 1998 as a state-owned enterprise (SOE), PPAP is the largest river port operator and the second largest international container terminal port in Cambodia.
PPAP was awarded the exclusive river port operating license in Jan 2009 to operate within a given service territory that extends from Phnom Penh to: 1) Neak Leurng at Lower-Mekong River (56km); 2) Tonle Bet at Upper-Mekong River (105km) 3) Tonle Sap (7km).
PPAP has the authority to regulate and oversee other private terminals (such as petroleum, gas terminals and other cargo terminals) within its commercial zone.
In mid 4Q15, PPAP launched an IPO through which it offered 4,136,873 shares or 20% of ownership to the public. Following this IPO, the oport operator was listed on the CSX in Dec 2015.
