- Established in July 1998 as a state-owned enterprise (SOE),
PPAP is the largest river port operator and the second largest international
container terminal port in Cambodia.
- PPAP was awarded the exclusive river port operating license
in Jan 2009 to operate within a given service territory that extends from Phnom Penh to:
1) Neak Leurng at Lower-Mekong River (56km); 2) Tonle Bet at Upper-Mekong River (105km) 3) Tonle Sap (7km).
- PPAP has the authority to regulate and oversee other private terminals
(such as petroleum, gas terminals and other cargo terminals) within its commercial zone.
- In mid 4Q15, PPAP launched an IPO through which it offered 4,136,873 shares or 20% of ownership to the public.
Following this IPO, the oport operator was listed on the CSX in Dec 2015.
